Tony Khan Reacts To WWE’s Predatory Practice of Scheduling Events Against AEW

Tony Khan shares his reaction to WWE’s “predatory practice” of counterprogramming AEW shows.

AEW President Tony Khan recently appeared on the Battleground Podcast ahead of the Redemption pay-per-view this Sunday. During the conversation, the host asked him about WWE’s recent announcement of a Worlds Collide event in Chicago on Saturday, September 26, intended to counterprogram All Out, which is happening on the same date and in the same city.

The host asked Khan how he views WWE’s antics: as a healthy competition, an actual compliment, or just the reality of today’s wrestling industry? The AEW president replied that it’s all of the above and called it a “predatory nature of scheduling” from WWE. However, he’s not stressed out about it, as he noted that he welcomes the competition.

“It’s probably all of the above. It’s the reality of current wrestling. It’s the frankly predatory nature of scheduling events, but also the compliment that says that AEW is doing very well. Chicago is a great city for wrestling. I’m very excited about AEW All Out, and it’s not something unexpected to have competition, and I do welcome it,” Tony Khan said.

“I also really am excited about the run of shows coming up tonight. Just a stacked Dynamite, a major Redemption pay-per-view this weekend, and I think it’s gonna put us on the course to All In and then All Out.” Khan said.
