WWE RAW Results (8/3) – Rollins’ Open Challenge, The ‘Sorority’ Continues To Win, Remembering Roddy Piper!

The New Day & The Ascension

vs Los Matadores & Lucha Dragons

Kofi leapfrogs the Matadores before getting caught with a corkscrew crossbody, then Konnor slams Diego in the corner and whips him. Diego kicks him back and goes for a springboard, but Viktor distracts him and Konnor shoves Diego on the floor. We get back from a break to see Viktor slam Diego for a near fall, then the Dragons get involved when Kofi and E interfere. Kofi kicks Kalisto in the face from the turnbuckles, then slams him down for the win.

Winners – The New Day & The Ascension

Charlotte & Becky Lynch

vs The Bella Twins

Charlotte gets a near fall before Nikki knees her a few times, then she applies a armbar but Charlotte knocks her back. Becky hits some clotheslines off the tag and rolls through into a Disarm-her, but Brie reaches the ropes and breaks it. Becky chases her outside but Nikki hits her as we go to a break, then we get back from a break to see Nikki applying a chinlock. Becky breaks it and Brie knees her in the corner, then she connects with a running knee and applies a modified chinlock. Becky breaks it with some uppercuts and both make tags, then Charlotte throws some chops and hits Nikki with a neckbreaker and a spear. Brie runs in but Becky hits a T-Bone suplex, then Nikki hits Charlotte with a spinebuster for two, then Charlotte counters a facebuster and makes her tap out to the Figure Eight.

Winners – Charlotte & Becky Lynch

The “Submission Sorority” name is a little odd, but that won’t matter in the longrun. This was another great match that solidified Becky and Charlotte on the main roster. I also liked how they worked in a few more hard hitting moves like Nikki with the spinebuster and Becky with the T-Bone suplex. The matches are better when they don’t restrict the movesets.
