Sheamus was recently interviewed by The Telegraph Herald, where he talked about winning his first WWE championship, his tag team partnership with Cesaro and more. You can check out a few highlights from the interview below:
Sheamus on winning the WWE Championship at TLC against John Cena:
“It was crazy. It was a little bit of a blur. I didn’t know I was going to win the title until that day. I did a segment (on RAW) with (Dallas Mavericks owner) Mark Cuban where I held the title in my hands and I thought, ‘This is awesome. This is crazy.’ Then a week or two later they were putting my name on the title and it was nuts. It’s one of those things that feels like a fantasy come true. It was a great way to kick off my career in WWE.”
Sheamus on his tag team partnership with Cesaro as ‘The Bar’:
“It was new waters as I’d never been in a tag team before. It was an opportunity to do something different and prove to the fans what we could do. I feel like we did give the tag division on RAW a huge boost. We’ve had some epic feuds. We’re just always ready to go and no matter what happens, Cesaro is the best in the world. He’s the real G-O-A-T and one day he will be world champion.”
On his YouTube channel ‘Celtic Warrior Workouts” and Cesaro posting coffee pictures on Instagram:
“It’s really fun doing the ‘Celtic Warrior Workouts,’ as it just gives the fans a chance to see how we train. I’m a whiskey drinker, but Cesaro is a coffee drinker. He’ll be finding the most popular coffee spot in town and probably be signing autographs there on Saturday.”
