Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “A Trade Is In Sight, Women Steal The Night”

Best Friends Split Up

The most entertaining duet in the WWE looks to be splitting up. After Roman Reigns interrupts the Highlight Reel, Kevin Owens yells at Chris Jericho to shut up when he is about to talk about his list. Roman Reigns then goes on to talk about how Kevin Owens needs Chris Jericho to win and Owens says he does not need him. This upsets Jericho and a match between Owens and Reigns is made. If Reigns wins, he faces Kevin Owens at WWE Roadblock for the WWE Universal Championship.

The night was not over, as Jericho and Owens officially split up backstage. When Jericho was leaving, Seth Rollins appeared and attacked Y2J. He hit a Pedigree on him on top of a car. This ends the night for the two men.

The best friends split up and I hope it is for good. As great as they have been, the time to capitalize on a Jericho vs. Owens feud would be at Royal Rumble. A huge stage and the first real test of Kevin Owens’ career as champion. The atmosphere and environment could be electric and we all know that Chris Jericho in the Royal Rumble would be overshadowed by guys like Goldberg, Lesnar, Cena, etc. They can still be an interesting and important part of every Monday night, but their split can be so great for both men in different points of their career.

But first, Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns will carry us into the final weeks of 2016. I am absolutely alright with that. They feel like Attitude Era feuds. Rollins and Jericho backstage in the parking lot was fresh and something not seen as much recently.

Tony Nese vs. Cedric Alexander

With guys like TJ Perkins, Noam Dar, Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander as your faces on the Cruiserweight Division, there needed to be an emphasis on who to develop behind Kendrick. Well, I think they know that Tony Nese can be the answer. After a heelish win and Drew Gulak outside rooting him on, an immediate attention on both men is best for this division.

Be critical all you want, but they are not meant to carry RAW. They are meant to put on entertaining, sometimes quick, matches and split up the big storylines from the others. Can they do a better job? Absolutely, but you still have plenty of talented guys that will thrive in this division. Patience is a virtue for the Cruiserweights and Tony Nese can be one of those rare guys that is completely developed in the ring and outside of it.
