Here’s an early look at the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble set in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The road to WrestleMania 42 will begin tomorrow with the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company and Saudi officials went all in for the Rumble by building an entire venue from the ground up exclusively for the event. They built a temporary outdoor stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh in 35 days, which Michael Cole called on this week’s episode of RAW as the “Riyadh Season Stadium.”
After a time-lapse video of the stadium’s construction emerged online, drone camera footage showing the venue with the completed set design is making the rounds on X/Twitter.
WWE also showed it during the Royal Rumble kickoff show earlier today, and the same venue is being used for SmackDown this afternoon.
The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble card
WWE has announced four matches for the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble, including the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches.
17 superstars have officially declared themselves for the men’s Royal Rumble match, and 17 female superstars have confirmed their entries into the women’s contest. Chief Content Officer Triple H has teased several surprises for both contests.
Gunther will look to retire yet another legendary wrestler as AJ Styles will put his career on the line in a one-on-one match against The Ring General at the Royal Rumble. Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will defend his title against Sami Zayn.
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk’s involvement in the event was recently confirmed.
