WWE Hall of Famer Calls For Vince McMahon’s Return

WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long has shared his thoughts on the company’s future, and his comments are already generating discussion among wrestling fans.

During a recent interview, the longtime authority figure argued that one specific figure should return to help steer WWE moving forward.

Long’s remarks came while reflecting on his own legacy in wrestling and discussing the current state of the industry.

While he expressed gratitude for his career, he also made it clear that he believes WWE would benefit from a familiar presence.

Teddy Long says WWE needs Vince McMahon back

Speaking with TMZ Sports, Long stated that he believes Vince McMahon should return to WWE.

“So, you know, it’s changing a little bit now, but I think what we got to do, we got to get Vince back, you know, so we can do this thing right and get the fans back on board.”

Long also addressed the possibility of McMahon returning in some capacity in the future. While acknowledging that he does not know the details surrounding McMahon’s departure from WWE, he argued that wrestling has always been a central part of McMahon’s life.

“I don’t think the chapter has ever closed with him.”

Long continued by explaining why he feels McMahon remains deeply connected to the business.

“I think Vince, you know, the way that I, like I said, I don’t know what happened or any of that stuff, but you know, to me, you know, and my knowing him, this was his life.”

Recalling a personal memory, Long added, “As soon as we took off, he talked about wrestling until we landed.”

The Hall of Famer also discussed his own WWE status, noting that he remains under a Legends deal and would be willing to return if called upon.

“I have that Legends deal, so if they call me, I have to go to work.”

Long then revealed his preference regarding who would be running the company if that happened.

“But if I had to go back, I wish it would be under the whims of Vince McMahon.”

For now, Long’s comments remain his personal opinion. Whether fans agree or disagree, the remarks have once again placed McMahon’s name back into wrestling conversation.
