Jeff Hardy Teases He Might Be Wrestling Less In The Near Future

Jeff Hardy says music could soon take priority over wrestling.

Appearing on Ropes ‘N’ Riffs, the TNA star discussed the growing momentum behind his band, PeroxWhy?Gen. Hardy revealed that the group has landed several major opportunities later this year, including performances at Louder Than Life and Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’ Wrestling Rager at Sea.

“I’ve been doing a few shows, and the reason I’m getting back together with my band, PeroxWhy?Gen, is because we’re going to be doing this big festival in September called Louder Than Life. We have a 30-minute set, and there are so many big names on that card. I’m definitely terrified of that, but I’m so grateful for the opportunity. I’m just going to go out there, sing like a lunatic, and hope for the best.

“Then in November, Matt just jumped on as well. My band is going to be on the Jericho Cruise for the first time, and Matt will be there too. The Hardy Boyz are going to be on the Jericho Cruise this year, and Jeff Hardy’s band, PeroxWhy?Gen, is going to be performing. I’m so stoked about that.”

Jeff Hardy Is Excited About His Musical Future

Hardy admitted that his growing passion for music could result in him scaling back his wrestling schedule in the near future.

“Music is just amazing, man. I’m so pumped for what the future holds for me as I continue to get these opportunities in music. The way I feel now is that by the end of the year, I think I might be wrestling less and singing more. So I’m very pumped about that.” [H/T NoDQ.com]

The comments come just days before The Hardys challenge for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Slammiversary. Jeff and Matt Hardy will receive their contractual rematch against reigning champions Brian Myers and Bear Bronson in a four-way ladder match that also includes The Righteous and The Great Hands.

Jeff Hardy recently admitted that he is not entering Slammiversary at 100 percent. His brother Matt Hardy revealed that Jeff has been dealing with “a couple of bulging discs” in his neck, though the veteran remains determined to compete despite the injury.

WrestleZone will provide live coverage of TNA Slammiversary on June 28.
