There’s a clue about which former WWE Superstar is reportedly debuting at TNA Slammiversary.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider recently reported that a former WWE Superstar will make their TNA debut at the Slammiversary pay-per-view tomorrow. He has now shared an update, dropping a clue that the mystery star is a former Intercontinental Champion.
“We are told tomorrow’s mystery former WWE talent is a former Intercontinental Champion,” he wrote.
WrestleVotes Radio (via Fightful Select) recently reported that TNA Wrestling is interested in bringing in former WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion Apollo Crews when he becomes available later this year. However, PWInsider didn’t confirm in the new report that Crews is the mystery superstar.
WWE released Apollo Crews as part of the post-WrestleMania 42 talent cut in April. The status of his non-compete period following his WWE exit is unknown. However, it has not crossed the standard 90-day mark as of this writing.
Mustafa Ali is scheduled to defend the TNA International Championship against a mystery opponent at Slammiversary tomorrow. It’s possible that the former WWE Superstar could challenge him for the title, but nothing is confirmed so far.

TNA Slammiversary will take place at the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, tomorrow. The promotion has announced eight matches on the main card and two on the pre-show.
