Smackdown kicks off with a series of vignettes hyping the matches later tonight.

Big E. w/Kofi Kingston vs. Cesaro w/Shinsuke Nakamura (Winner gets to name the stipulation for Extreme Rules)

Big E. sends Cesaro out of the ring. Big E. whips Cesaaro into the ring steps. Before Cesaro can react, Big E. spears Cesaro into the steps. Big E. rolls Cesaro back into the ring. Big E. misses a spear in the corner. Big E. hits the ring post and falls to the floor. Cesaro retrieved Big E. and wipe him into the ring post for good measure. Back in the ring, Cesaro lands a falling powerslam for a near fall.

Cesaro leaps off the top rope into a belly-to-belly by Big E.. Big E. crushes Cesaro with a running splash. Big E. drags Cesaro out to the apron. Big E. flattens Cesaro with another running splash. After the break, Cesaro blocks Big E.’s patented apron spear with a big boot. Big E. puts Cesaro in a stretch muffler. Cesaro counters and locks in a submission of his own. Nakamura takes out Kingston outside the ring. As the referee is distracted, Nakamura kicks Big E. in the head. Cesaro drops Big E. with his version of the Gotch Driver for the win.

Winner- Cesaro

After the match, Cesaro and Nakamura try to pull a table from under the ring. Kingston front flips over the top rope, wiping out Nakamura and Cesaro. The New Day tries to put Cesaro through a table but Nakamura saves him.

Backstage, King Corbin says Riddle has no chance tonight against AJ Styles.
