Report: Shane McMahon Booked For WWE Elimination Chamber And WrestleMania 38 (Updated)

Shane McMahon‘s return at WWE Royal Rumble might not be a one-off, as the company reportedly has plans for the chairman’s son.

On the newest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that McMahon is booked for the next two big events on WWE‘s calendar, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 38. In Sunday’s edition of the Daily Update, Meltzer noted that a match for McMahon is on the WrestleMania card, but as of a few days ago, it still hadn’t been finalized.

Shane-O-Mac’s potential match at “The Showcase of the Immortals” would mark his first bout since his loss to Braun Strowman at WWE WrestleMania 37. Before that, he last competed against Kevin Owens in a ladder match on the FOX premiere of Friday Night SmackDown. He has previously competed at WrestleMania five times.

WWE Elimination Chamber is being held on February 19 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; he last competed there at WWE Super ShowDown in 2019.

Update: Mike Johnson of PWInsider later reported more details about McMahon’s return; he’s set to regain his status as a prominent heel on WWE RAW. Johnson noted that McMahon is expected to appear regularly on the show.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
