Damian Priest On Dominik Mysterio: I Admire The Way He Has Adapted To WWE

Damian Priest respects the way Dominik Mysterio was excelled in a sink-or-swim situation.

Dominik, Rey Mysterio’s son, made his in-ring debut at WWE SummerSlam 2020. Since then, he has been featured on WWE TV, and he continues to learn as he goes. Priest, who has been wrestling for nearly 20 years, has been working with both Mysterios in recent weeks. His stable, The Judgment Day, has been driving to drive a wedge between the duo in an effort to recruit Dominik.

Speaking with Rick Ucchino of the Bleav in Pro Wrestling Podcast, Priest was asked to describe what he likes about the young Mysterio. Uchhino noted that it’s not easy to grow up live on TV, and the former WWE United States Champion agreed, noting that Dominik is wise beyond his years for the way he has adapted on the fly.

“No it’s not [easy], and that’s probably what we admire about is that although he’s extremely young, he’s wise beyond his years as far as how he’s able to adapt and handle all this attention,” said Priest. “This is a crazy world. WWE is a crazy, crazy world. So for him coming in and never really having the experience that a lot of us did, I mean I wrestled for so many years before I even got to the WWE and had that experience. He doesn’t have that. He just got thrown right into the fire, and he’s been able to adapt, and he’s swimming. So good for him. That’s probably the most intriguing part of it for him.”

The Judgment Day’s feud with The Mysterios and Edge will continue on the August 22 episode of WWE RAW, when Priest battles Edge in a heated singles match.
