Adam Cole now has a match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
During the June 23 episode of AEW Rampage, Cole appeared in the ring alongside MJF. After some back and forth, MJF revealed that he told Tony Khan to give Cole a match against Tom Lawlor at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Lawlor, alongside Royce Isaacs, then appeared, and they attacked Cole before MJF eventually made the “save.” MJF didn’t rush to the ring, as it was clear that he wanted Lawlor to hurt Cole.
Lawlor made his AEW debut on Friday. He is a former NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion, and he has also held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.
