Nick Khan: Vince McMahon Allegations Are ‘Horrific’, He Is Not Involved With WWE

Nick Khan comments on the allegations against Vince McMahon and whether they would have impacted WWE’s deal with Netflix.

January was a major month for WWE, as the company announced that RAW would be moving to Netflix in 2025. Two days later, Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis in which she alleged that McMahon engaged in sexual assault and sex trafficking.

Speaking on The Town with Matthew Belloni, the allegations came up in the conversation, as WWE President Nick Khan was asked whether they would have “killed” the company’s deal with Netflix. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)

“I don’t know about killed, but it certainly wouldn’t have helped the deal,” Nick Khan said. “Those allegations are obviously horrific and serious and we take them and interpret them the same way any other reasonable person or organization would interpret them. You saw the quick resignation.”

When asked, Nick Khan said that there was not pressure from Netflix to have Vince McMahon resign. McMahon’s resignation was confirmed in an SEC filing in January.

Khan was also asked whether Vince McMahon is still involved with WWE, and he said, “No. Zero. He chose to resign. There was no litigation.”
