Former WWE star Nic Nemeth says Roman Reigns has completely transformed in WWE and reached a next-level status in the company.
On Busted Open Radio, Nemeth praised Reigns’ performance on WWE RAW, calling him an unstoppable force and highlighting how much he has improved over the years.
“I knew Roman when he was good. Now, he’s incredible,” Nemeth said. “I’m blown away, because for years, I was like, ‘Alright, we’re going with this guy. He’s okay. This is fine.’ And then watching him absolutely just bust out of that and become this unstoppable force, I’m very impressed.”
The former WWE star recalled that during Reigns’ Big Dog era, he often struggled to connect with the fans. Today, Nemeth believes Reigns has proven all his critics wrong and has become everything WWE management expected and more.
“Slowly but surely, after those years go by, he has become everything that the boss thought he would be, and then some,” Nemeth continued. “He’s next-level with his character work.” [H/T: WrestlingInc]
Roman Reigns transformed in 2020 when he teamed up with Paul Heyman and became the Tribal Chief in WWE. His heel turn changed his character completely, and fans finally started connecting with him.
Today, in his OTC era, every time Reigns appears in the arena, the fans give him a huge reaction. This weekend, he will take on Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight at WWE Crown Jewel. After this match, he is reportedly scheduled to compete in WarGames at WWE Survivor Series next month.
