Jeff Hardy debuted an interesting new finisher called the ‘Spinal Destination’ on TNA iMPACT.
Ahead of No Surrender later tonight, the Hardys were in action on the February 12 episode of TNA iMPACT on AMC. The main event featured Matt and Jeff Hardy competing in an eight-man tag team match, teaming with Mike Santana and Moose against The System.
During the match, Jeff Hardy debuted a new finisher called “The Spinal Destination.” Performing it on Bear Bronson, Hardy executed the submission maneuver by locking his hand under Bronson’s chin and bending him back over his right knee, to target his spine.
Jeff Hardy started working on the move after his recent neck injury, which might be because he could take it easy with his usual high-flying wrestling style.
Matt and Jeff Hardy will be in action tonight at TNA No Surrender, where they’ll compete in an eight-man tag team match, teaming with The Righteous to take on Mustafa Ali’s Order 4.
Jeff Hardy is also working on his own ‘Final Deletion’
During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Jeff Hardy revealed that he has an outline for a match similar to the ‘Final Deletion,‘ which he has named ‘The Final Recovery.’ He noted that he hopes to have the match at some point down the line if he can get everyone on board.
“I do have a script I’ve written up. It’s for a match called The Final Recovery. It’s kind of like my version of The Final Deletion,” Jeff Hardy revealed. “I’m hoping we get a chance to do it sometime in the near future if I can get everybody on board.”
Matt Hardy then said the Hardys’ feud with the Righteous in TNA could act as a bridge to a potential character shift. While he noted the match could turn into something entertaining, he believes Jeff Hardy might not be able to pull it off as a heel.
“I think especially this guy [points at Jeff Hardy] is way past being a heel. It’s going to be hard to get him out of the way. It’d be like John Cena — it’d be like swimming upstream,” Matt said. “But I think it could turn into some really entertaining content. And I think he could take us in a direction that people would enjoy.”
