WWE’s Kiana James wasn’t fond of Tom Brady’s comments about WWE stars, and wants to see him come and try.
Speaking during a recent appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, James was asked about Brady’s viral comments. During an interview while at the Super Bowl, Logan Paul and Brady spoke about the Paul’s athleticism. Brady remarked that he loves WWE, calling it “very cute,” but that Paul could not play actual real football.
According to James, she doesn’t want to get too worked up about it, but believes Brady’s comments come from a place of ignorance of sorts. “I don’t want to fault anyone for their ignorance,” James. “When you’re unfamiliar with something, there’s a level of ignorance there.”
Instead, James said, she would like to see Brady come to WWE and try out what it’s like to be a superstar. “The best answer is to get him in the ring,” she said. “Have him run the ropes and take a bump — and then let’s see what his answer is.”
Wrestlers taking offense to people questioning their athleticism and “real” skills has been a thing forever. While it’s generally understood to be a very taxing sport, there are still those who believe that it isn’t as athletic or genuine as other sports.
