WWE Mystery Crate Reveal Sees Former AEW Star Debut At Elimination Chamber

WWE has unveiled what was inside the mystery crate at Elimination Chamber, and it was very nice and evil.

WWE introduced the angle on the February 16 episode of RAW in a backstage segment. General Manager Adam Pearce came across a massive man-sized crate labelled: “Deliver to WWE” and “Do not open until 2/28/26,” the date of the Elimination Chamber PLE. Pearce then told the person who delivered it to load it back onto the truck and send it to SmackDown.

However, the crate resurfaced on the February 23 episode of WWE RAW, and Adam Pearce then told the delivery person to ship it to Chicago, where he and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis will open it together. While fans speculated with names like Chris Jericho and Danhausen, ECW legend Tommy Dreamer even linked it up to Gunther.

WWE initially teased opening it before the CM Punk vs. Finn Balor match at Elimination Chamber. R-Truth, whom Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis believed knew what was inside the crate, ended up hilariously opening a box of Papa John’s Pizza instead. Aldis and Pearce finally opened the crate with crowbars near the stage before the main event, and it had a wooden coffin inside.

Danhausen is WWE-hausen

A bunch of dancers wearing face paint emerged from it and danced on the stage, and former AEW star Danhausen came out, making his official WWE debut. They marched down the ramp, and after handing Michael Cole a jar of teeth, Danhausen joined the dancers in the ring and disappeared after the lights went out.

Danhausen had requested his release from AEW last August, but the promotion added injury time to his contract, keeping him there until this year. He teased becoming a free agent yesterday, and has now officially become a WWE Superstar.
