As the confrontation escalated, Reigns dismissed Punk’s credibility and questioned why WWE brought him back in the first place. According to Roman Reigns, it wasn’t to carry the company as champion.

He claimed Reigns is only in the main event because of him and insisted this is his show. The exchange intensified when Punk promised to “bury” Reigns at WrestleMania, even referencing his late father.
