WWE NXT star Ricky Saints shared his thoughts after Randy Orton brutally turned on Cody Rhodes.
Last week’s WWE SmackDown featured a major contract signing. The segment set up a huge WrestleMania 42 match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. However, things quickly took a dark turn after it. Orton suddenly attacked Rhodes out of nowhere. He left him bloodied and laid out in the ring. The brutal moment shocked fans and WWE stars alike, as Orton betrayed his former protege.
While many criticized Orton, Ricky Saints took a different stance. Speaking with KRON 4, Saints supported Orton and explained why he understood his actions. He said, “I’m going to tell you this. Sometimes it’s not a changing of the attitude. It is when we decide to put up certain boundaries that we’re tired of people crossing.”
He compared the situation to his own experiences and defended Orton’s reaction. “And I think that’s what happened. That happened with me, and that happened with Randy. It doesn’t make us bad people, it just makes us people who are tired of being walked over. So I liked it, I thought it was great. Good for him, you know what I’m saying? Good for him. Hopefully this stays here, but good for him.”
He also talked about the WrestleMania matches he’s most excited for. “I’m definitely looking forward to Punk and Roman, that’s going to be a great match. You know, you have Cody and Randy, that’s going to be another one. You know, know, Jade and Rhea is going to be a great match as well. So those are the three that I’m looking forward to.” [H/T: 411mania]
Meanwhile, Orton appeared via satellite on WWE RAW and teased something mysterious. He hinted at a powerful figure by saying, “Wrestling has more than one royal family,” adding more intrigue to the storyline.
