Oba Femi picked up a shocking victory against Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Former NXT Champion Oba Femi earned the opportunity to face the legendary Brock Lesnar at WWE WrestleMania 42 when he answered the latter’s open challenge. He had the upper hand throughout the build-up to the contest, and while some fans expected the early advantage to fade at the hands of Lesnar at the PLE, Femi shocked everyone by slaying the Beast.
Oba Femi overpowered Brock Lesnar for most of the match and even had the Beast Incarnate retreat outside the ring to rethink his strategy. Lesnar got a momentary advantage after Femi tried to pull him inside the ring, and took The Ruler to Suplex City.
However, Oba Femi regained the momentum after standing right back up after taking an F5 from Brock Lesnar. Femi then took out Lesnar with a massive Choke Slam before performing the Fall From Grace on the Beast to get the pin.
Oba Femi looked shocked after the victory, and commentator Wade Barrett echoed everyone’s thoughts by calling it a shocking win. Michael Cole also put over Femi by giving him Lesnar’s old nickname, the Next Big Thing.
The shock didn’t stop with the match result, as Brock Lesnar seemingly retired after the loss.
