Paul Heyman Downplays Brock Lesnar WWE Retirement Rumors

Paul Heyman said he sees Brock Lesnar fighting and dominating for another 15 years. Has his opinion changed after what went down at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas?

Heyman spoke with TMZ in a video posted ahead of night two of WrestleMania 42, where Brock Lesnar faced off with Oba Femi.

“What’s my vision? Another 15 years of dominance by Brock Lesnar,” Heyman said. “Why are you pushing this whole retirement thing? You are!”

The reporter noted how many fans have been speculating that Lesnar would retire, which Heyman scoffed at.

“So you actually read what is posted online and take it seriously? This is part of the great political divide in this country, isn’t it? That people actually take seriously irrelevant opinions? There’s only one relevant opinion, and it’s mine,” Paul Heyman said. “And mine is that Brock dominates the next 15 years.”

That’s what Heyman said before WrestleMania 42.

The match opened the show on Sunday, with Femi picking up the surprising win over Lesnar, who then seemingly retired after the match. Lesnar put his boots and gloves in the middle of the ring before embracing an emotional Heyman. Fans cheered and chanted for Lesnar on his way out, but neither WWE nor Lesnar has confirmed his status yet. A recent report suggested WWE was not prepared for Lesnar to end his career, as it was believed he originally planned to retire later in the year.

Update: Heyman has commented on the initial video, stating that it was filmed two weeks prior to WrestleMania 42.
