WATCH: LA Knight Forced to Redo Awkward WWE RAW Moment

It seems like LA Knight can’t catch a break amid his ongoing botches. On the June 8 episode of WWE RAW, he had an awkward moment in the ring before he even got a chance to speak.

The former United States Champion appeared on RAW ahead of his King of the Ring first-round match this Friday against Finn Balor, Royce Keys, and Jey Uso. While the segment eventually focused on his verbal exchange with Uso, one highlight-worthy mistake happened just after Knight’s entrance.

LA Knight quickly turned the awkward microphone mishap into a funny recovery

As Knight made his way to the ring to a loud reaction from the Paris crowd, he called for a microphone from the timekeeper’s area. The microphone was tossed to him, but he missed the catch.

Instead of brushing it off and moving on, Knight picked the microphone up, threw it back to the timekeeper, and asked for another toss. This time, he caught it cleanly.

The moment only lasted a few seconds. Nevertheless, instead of getting awkward, Knight capitalize on the mistake with his character work. Moreover, the crowd stayed fully behind him the whole time.

Once he had the microphone, Knight turned his attention to the upcoming King of the Ring tournament and took aim at Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.

Knight said Roman Reigns has everyone stuck in what he called the “Bloodline vortex” and predicted that someone would likely try to help Jey Uso advance in the tournament. He also took a shot at Adam Pearce.

Knight said he doesn’t take orders from anyone and promised to keep doing things his way. He wished his opponents luck but made it clear that he wanted Jey Uso to win on his own instead of relying on family help.

That brought Jey Uso out to the ring.

Uso defended his family and told Knight to mind his own business. After a tense exchange, Uso started to walk away, but Knight stopped him. Acting like he was about to say something respectful, Knight instead ended the segment by telling Uso, “Screw your family.” Jey started returning to the ring, but just then, Jimmy came out and stopped him.

While the microphone mishap was harmless, it came during a stretch where Knight has been getting extra attention online because of a few recent mistakes.

Earlier at Elimination Chamber, he slipped while attempting a top-rope elbow drop in a match involving Randy Orton. Recently, Knight also got tangled in the ropes while attempting a 619-style move against Dominik Mysterio at a live event.
