Liv Morgan Stalker Gets New Trial Date

A new trial date has been set for Liv Morgan’s alleged stalker.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Shawn Chan, the man accused of stalking WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, will stand trial on June 15, 2026, before the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division, at 9 AM. Originally scheduled for March, the trial had to be pushed back several times. Court records note that it is a “stipulated facts bench trial”, which means there would be no jury and facts are agreed upon to limit witnesses.

Shawn Chan is charged with one count of interstate domestic violence against Liv Morgan. He allegedly travelled from Canada last year and spent hours trespassing on Morgan’s property in Florida. He flew from Scarborough, Ontario, to Orlando, Florida, on May 26, 2025 (the same day he was issued a passport) and informed customs agents in Florida that he’d be staying at the WWE Performance Center, which has no housing facilities.

According to the criminal complaints against him, Chan circled Liv Morgan’s property several times before entering through the backyard. After not being able to gain entry to her house through the front door, he held an air pellet gun on her porch and waited several hours before leaving.

Shawn Chan left a note at Liv Morgan’s property before leaving

Before leaving Liv Morgan’s property, Chan allegedly left a note with his name, address in Canada, and phone number. It partly read, “It’s me Shawn the guy you all hang out with on [gaming platform deleted] online. You’ve been trying to contact me, or should I say reach out to me when I’m absent from that game. So who’s the stalker huh?!  I NEVER said and did anything bad for over 10 years, yet you all dared hating me for no reason.  I came here to pay just a friendly visit, nothing more. Yet, I’m the one who looks like a stalker thx to all of you.  And you all think I’m going to have empathy, sympathy and care about any of you anymore?  I will start talking and doing whatever I want despite all your shoosh finger faces that you all make.  Yea, I just wanted to let you know that I was here.”

FBI arrested Shawn Chan on June 3, 2025, after WWE security alerted authorities after viewing the security footage from Liv Morgan’s home. He was indicted in June 2025 and faces a five-year imprisonment. Chan has been detained since his arrest and has failed at several attempts to be released before trial. He filed a notice to pursue an insanity defense in December 2025.
