MJF compares WWE ticket prices to AEW.
During a recent appearance on ABC7 in El Paso, the reigning AEW World Champion used hyperbole to make a point about WWE ticket prices. Staying true to his heel persona, he mocked fans while putting over his company’s more affordable pricing structure.
“Unlike WWE, you don’t have to sell the soul of your firstborn to buy a ticket. They are normal prices. We don’t discriminate against poors the same way the World Champ [points to self] does. I hate you people, but somebody has to pay daddy’s bills and that’s going to be people like you,” Friedman said. [H/T Fightful]
WWE has faced criticism in recent months over rising ticket prices, with some fans and wrestlers arguing that the company’s pricing strategy has made it difficult for families to attend live events. WWE is also reportedly encountering challenges moving tickets for WrestleMania 42.
In response to those concerns, the official X account of Las Vegas Motor Speedway recently announced that WWE and NASCAR are offering two exclusive ticket bundles. The promotion allows fans to attend two major live events for the price of one.
Additionally, Matt Hardy recently stated that while WrestleMania 41 generated record numbers for WWE, the company could face difficulties selling out the venue for a second consecutive year due to the high ticket prices and broader economic conditions.
