Legendary Duo Appear Before Major Betrayal on WWE NXT

The March 10 episode of WWE NXT featured a surprising appearance from two respected veterans of the industry — and their presence quickly changed the direction of a key tag team match.

As second-generation competitors battled in the ring, a moment on the entrance ramp shifted the tone of the bout without revealing its full impact right away.

The match pitted Birthright members Lexis King and Uriah Connors against No Quarter Catch Crew’s Charlie Dempsey and Tavion Heights.

Early sequences saw Dempsey work through multiple submissions, transitioning smoothly between a double chickenwing, a Fujiwara armbar, and a kneebar. Heights followed with a Karelin Lift and a bow-and-arrow combination, keeping the pressure on the Birthright duo.

Momentum shifted when Lexis King began interfering from the apron, snapping Dempsey across the ropes and allowing Connors to regain control. The action eventually spilled to the outside, where all four competitors brawled as the match briefly turned into a ringside scramble.

William Regal and Fit Finlay Appear As Charlie Dempsey Aligns With Birthright

The turning point arrived when Dempsey and Heights shared a brief embrace outside the ring — only for two familiar figures to step onto the entrance ramp. WWE legends William Regal and Fit Finlay appeared together, drawing Dempsey’s attention in a moment that instantly raised eyebrows.

Instead of rallying his partner, Dempsey suddenly suplexed Heights and rolled him back into the ring. The shift opened the door for Birthright to capitalize.

Lexis King quickly delivered his Coronation finisher to Heights, securing the pinfall victory for Birthright.

After the match, Dempsey acknowledged his father with a nod before stepping into the ring and standing alongside King and Connors, signaling his apparent alignment with the faction.

Earlier in the night, King had challenged Dempsey to stop running from his heritage, name-dropping both Regal and Finlay while urging him to embrace his “birthright.” By the end of the match, it seemed Dempsey had finally decided which corner he belongs in — proving that in wrestling, sometimes the apple doesn’t fall far from the family tree.
