Countdown to TNA Slammiversary

The Countdown to Slammiversary is live across TNA’s digital platforms.

International sensation Ricky Sosa takes on Eric Young in one featured matchup. Elsewhere on the Countdown to Slammiversary, Indi Hartwell, Mara Sade, and Elayna Black square off in a three-way match.

Slammiversary Is Going To Be All About Xia Brookside

Xia Brookside claims she didn’t flee from Lei Ying Lee following Brookside’s match against Harley Hudson this past Thursday on TNA iMPACT. Brookside looks to make Slammiversary all about herself when she challenges Lee for the TNA Knockouts World Championship later tonight.

Ryan Nemeth Is A ‘Petty’ Man

Ryan Nemeth admits he’s a “small, petty, and vengeful man” in many ways, and he “loves revenge.” Nemeth references Mike Santana’s “merciless” beatdown of him on TNA iMPACT this past Thursday in front of his family and friends. He says it will give him great pleasure to see his big brother, Nic Nemeth, defeat Santana for the TNA World Championship so Nic can recreate TNA Wrestling in his own image.

Ryan is certainly a petty man, considering he still can’t seem to get over CM Punk getting shredded in the gym. Having said that, I have a feeling Ryan is going to cost Nic his TNA World Championship match against Santana later tonight.

TNA Remembers Joe Doering

Matthew Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan are seen wearing black armbands as a show of respect for the former TNA star Joe Doering, who passed away earlier this week following a battle with brain cancer.

Indi Hartwell vs. Mara Sade vs. Elayna Black

Mara Sade hits Indi Hartwell with a moonsault, but Elayna Black capitalizes by hitting the Blackout DDT to score the victory.

New Title for the Knockouts Division

Traci Brooks arrives as Hartwell and Sade are heading backstage, telling both women to wait for her announcement. Brooks praises the Knockouts division before announcing a 16-woman matchup on the upcoming episode of TNA iMPACT to crown the inaugural TNA Knockouts Television Champion, confirming reports that TNA is introducing a new title to expand its Knockouts division. She also reveals that the championship will be defended exclusively on iMPACT.

TNA International Title Open Challenge Update

Mustafa Ali arrives alongside Tasha Steelz and demands that Daria Rae reveal his opponent for the TNA International Championship Open Challenge later tonight at Slammiversary. Daria says she has already selected Ali’s challenger. Santino Marella then interrupts, revealing that he has also found an opponent for Ali. The champion is livid.

Marella announces that since both he and Daria have identified challengers for Ali, the fairest solution is for the TNA International Championship to be defended in a three-way match later tonight at Slammiversary.

Eric Young vs. Ricky Sosa

Eric Young sets up Ricky Sosa for a piledriver, but Sosa escapes and counters with a Blue Thunder Bang to score the victory.

TNA Slammiversary Results

The TNA locker room assembles on the ramp to pay their respects to Joe Doering. Joe’s former tag team partner, Cody Deaner, becomes emotional as he remembers his late friend. Tonight’s show is dedicated to Joe Doering.

Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Leon Slater vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Mr. Elegance vs. Fabian Aichner vs. KC Navarro vs. Amazing Red – Ultimate X match for the TNA X Division Championship

TNA veteran Amazing Red steps into a TNA ring for the first time in 15 years.

KC Navarro uses the fall to build momentum, planting Fabian Aichner with a DDT on the outside.

Amazing Red with a beautiful Code Red!

Everybody’s down!

Slater and Red both have the belt unhooked, each trying to snatch it away. Slater manages to get hold of the belt, but Alexander takes advantage of the distraction to snatch it back, with his feet touching the canvas to retain the X Division Championship.
