A new challenger has stepped up to WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.
The Straight Edge Superstar made an appearance on WWE RAW in Germany earlier tonight. Punk hyped up the crowd before referencing Cody Rhodes’ loss of the Undisputed WWE Championship at the hands of Drew McIntyre.
Punk reiterated that he intends to remain champion forever before Finn Bálor’s music hit. The Judgment Day star cut straight to the chase, telling the World Heavyweight Champion that he was coming for his title.
CM Punk told Bálor they could stop talking so he could put his title on the line in Düsseldorf. Finn, however, said that years of experience in the business had taught him the importance of timing. He then told Punk they would fight for the title next week on WWE RAW in Bálor’s home country of Ireland.
Bálor was subtly mocked by Liv Morgan earlier on WWE RAW. Liv chewed out Bálor for hanging out backstage, playing video games, and not chasing championship gold. This appeared to motivate Bálor to interrupt Punk’s promo, and after some back-and-forth, the two agreed to face each other next Monday in Belfast.
